A one-day course on teaching maths for mastery in the secondary school classroom

Explore the research and pedagogy behind maths mastery and its effective application in secondary mathematics. This one-day course covers classroom techniques like the CPA approach, effective questioning, and bar modeling that help support pupils as they transition from KS2 to KS3.

This course shows secondary educators how to deliver ‘low threshold, high ceiling’ activities that help struggling and advanced learners alike.

Attendees will leave with the skills to teach and support secondary pupils in the mastery approach.

Who should attend

Dr Yeap Ban Har is the world’s leading expert on the Singapore method and is a primary technical consultant for Maths — No Problem!

An accomplished and inspirational trainer, Ban Har spent 10 years at the National Institute of Education in Singapore where he was involved in several funded research programmes in mathematics education. Ban Har was part of the team which reviewed the Singapore maths curriculum for the revised 2013 syllabus and he teaches courses at tertiary institutions in South East Asia and North America.
