Course Objectives

This course is designed to nurture the following:

  1. An introductory understanding of each component of the Foundations Programme and how it all fits together
  2. An introduction on how to use the Foundations materials

Course Content

An overview of the Foundations programme

  • An introductory guide on using the Foundations programme in your classroom, offering practical tips and strategies for daily teaching. It includes using picture books, children's journals, and teacher support materials effectively.

EYFS statutory framework

  • Identify the direct connections between the EYFS statutory framework and the Foundations programme.

Learning approaches

  • Explore the different ways children learn in the Early Years and how Foundations can support pupils and teachers
