This advanced, full-day course is designed for primary school educators looking to advance their understanding of fractions in order to teach the subject to mastery. Learn the different usage of numbers and semantics, how to use logical approaches to help students build confidence, how to represent various semantics with pictorial representations. Gain a deeper understanding of concepts such as equality and equivalence. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate of completion for their records.

Course Objectives

This professional development course is designed to nurture:

  2. A practical understanding of lesson structure and learning experiences for teaching fractions across year groups
