Digital Project Manager

We are looking for a Digital Project Manager to work closely with our Digital Marketing team and Software Development team who create the digital suite for our primary Maths series. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving learning in schools and helping children and teachers succeed. The Digital Project Manager will be responsible for the direction, coordination, execution and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with strategy, brand, commitments and goals of the organization. This is an exciting role for an experienced and motivated person who understands the importance of good-quality teaching resources.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Manage the release cycle for multiple digital products and projects
  • Act as a funnel point for information transfer from all stakeholders to the Software Development teams and Digital Marketing teams, to streamline communication and minimise distractions
  • Ensure the Software Development and Digital Marketing teams understand the vision, objectives, scope and timelines of each project
  • Ability to convert complex designs and user stories into project deliverables, and support prioritisation of development tasks, in collaboration with the Product Managers and Head of Digital Development
  • Plan Digital projects as well as Digital marketing campaigns in order to accomplish their goals within constraints of time, cost and agreed quality standards
  • Schedule tasks, approvals, deadlines and milestones for stakeholders and resources (inclusive of sprint planning and grooming meetings with Software Development teams)
  • Measure and track project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Provide weekly reporting and visibility of work, escalating to Management teams as needed
  • Conduct and participate in regular retrospectives after each project or marketing campaign
  • Maintain the Digital Business’ team backlog by creating and managing miscellaneous (non-project related) tasks and ensuring items get prioritised and completed by the team

Our Ideal Candidates Skills & Experience


  • 5+ years experience managing a variety of digital projects including site builds, e-commerce, marketing campaigns and product development
  • Strong resource management skills with the ability to work closely with other project managers to negotiate shared resources priorities
  • Strong understanding of managing large marketing campaigns that are heavy on content that include blogs, social media as well as paid media and internal advertising
  • Comfortable with an ever-changing, dynamic workload
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong decision-making and leadership capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills with ability to focus on priorities & risk assessment
  • Theoretical and practical project management knowledge, understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban
  • Proficiency in the following tools (, Jira, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Slack)


  • Experience working with globally distributed, remote teams
  • Experience in the editorial or publishing industry
  • Experience in marketing campaigns that promote educational products
  • Knowledge of primary maths and/or literacy education
  • Knowledge of recent Maths Mastery programmes undertaken by the UK government
  • Project management qualification (PMP) or Certified Scrum / Agile Practitioner
  • Proficiency in the following tools (, Jira, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Slack)
