Learning math in the early years — What you need to know.
What do you need to know in order to able to learn mathematics at a high level?
Much of it stems with pre-numeracy skills all the way up to the proper conceptual understanding of several key mathematical ideas.
Is it true that if you can’t understand how to divide a fraction by a fraction it’s your grade 2 teachers fault?
Is it true that learning Algebra can be easy and fun for all pupils?
Can you really transform your elementary school in such a way that mathematics is the favourite subject of almost all children and they are crushing tests like never before?
Find out in this fun, interactive and highly inspirational session.
How can we ensure students develop strong mathematical foundations from an early age?
What strategies can educators employ to make mathematics engaging and accessible? How do we build confidence and competence in mathematical thinking?
This session explores key developmental stages in mathematical learning, from essential pre-numeracy skills to advanced conceptual understanding.
We'll examine evidence-based teaching methods that transform mathematics from a dreaded subject into an exciting journey of discovery.
Join us to learn practical techniques for:
→ Building strong number sense and mathematical reasoning
→ Creating engaging, student-centered math lessons
→ Developing problem-solving skills through hands-on activities
→ Supporting diverse learning styles in mathematics education
Whether you're an educator or administrator, you'll gain valuable insights into fostering mathematical excellence in young learners.
