Course Objectives
This professional development workshop is designed to provide participants with:
- An understanding of the three-part lesson structure
- A deeper understanding of the key features of the textbook and workbook, including variation theory and assessment
- Practical techniques to incorporate the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach into classroom practice for more effective teaching of key concepts
- Differentiation techniques for enriching lessons and supporting those students that need additional scaffolding
- An opportunity to explore the features of the Maths — No Problem! Teacher Hub, understanding how it supports subject knowledge development, lesson planning and consistent teaching practices
Participants will leave the workshop with confidence and practical techniques to begin effectively teaching the Maths — No Problem! lessons in their classroom.
Course Content
Understanding the Three-Part Lesson Structure
Detailed exploration of the explore task, guided practice and independent work, including practical strategies for successful implementation.
Participating in a Model Lesson
Engage in a practical demonstration of a Maths — No Problem! lesson, reflecting on the structure, resources and teaching strategies used.
Using the CPA Approach in Practice
Gain strategies for embedding the CPA approach in lessons to enhance pupil engagement and understanding.
Exploring the Maths — No Problem! Resources
Discover the features of the Maths — No Problem! Teacher Hub as well as the student Textbooks and Workbooks.
Integrating the Textbook and Workbook into Teaching Practice
Understand the role of the Maths — No Problem! textbook and workbook as core tools to enhance student learning.
Differentiation
Learn practical techniques for enriching and challenging advanced learners as well as strategies to support students that need additional scaffolding.

This workshop is intended for primary school teachers, maths leads and senior leadership who are looking to improve their practice of teaching mathematics and understand the Maths — No Problem! approach.
