What happens when we stop asking people to answer questions and simply give them a number to play with? In this light-hearted, interactive webinar, Craig Parkinson invites teachers to rediscover the joy of thinking mathematically. Using the Notice, Explain, Wonder (NEW) Framework, we’ll play with 2027, explore the meanings we attach to numbers, and consider how numbers can help us predict what might happen next. Teachers will experience mathematical thinking for themselves and leave with ideas to recreate that experience for pupils — including a downloadable January–March Number Play calendar to continue the exploration into the New Year.
