From Diagnosis to Deeper Thinking: Problem-Solving in Qatar’s Multilingual Classrooms

From Diagnosis to Deeper Thinking: Problem-Solving in Qatar’s Multilingual Classrooms

09 Dec 2026

4:00 pm – 4:30 pm Qatar/ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm GMT

Once we know where students’ understanding breaks down, what should happen next? Building on the conversation at researchED Doha, join Maths — No Problem! and educators from Qatar’s international-school community to explore how collaborative problem-solving can help students rebuild understanding, explain their ideas and grow in confidence. Using examples from Maths — No Problem!, we’ll look at how concrete-pictorial-abstract representations, mathematical talk and journalling can support bilingual and multilingual learners, move learning beyond rote procedures and deepen conceptual understanding. You’ll also hear from Mesaieed International School about the changes it has seen in students’ independence and articulation, and leave with practical ideas to use straight away.

This webinar is for maths leads and senior leaders in Qatar and across the Middle East.
