Maths — No Problem! Announces 2026 Community Event Focused on the 2028 Mathematics Curriculum

LEICESTER, UK — Maths — No Problem! has announced its 2026 Community Event, “Leading the Change: Mathematics Education for the New Curriculum,” taking place on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 at the University of Leicester Botanic Gardens.
Designed to bring educators together for a day of networking, knowledge sharing and practical innovation, this year’s event focuses firmly on the future of mathematics education, and helping schools navigate and prepare for the upcoming 2028 curriculum changes.
The event will feature a keynote address and specialist panel discussion led by Lynne McClure OBE, Chair of the Education Workstream at the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences. Lynne currently chairs the maths expert group for the DfE, redesigning the mathematics curriculum in line with the recommendations of the recent Curriculum and Assessment Review. Attendees will gain actionable insights on curriculum shifts alongside proven, inclusive teaching strategies shared by school leaders to ensure every pupil succeeds.
In addition to high-level curriculum insights, delegates will experience practical, hands-on learning in the “Maths Kitchen.” Led by Dr. Josh Smalley—chemistry researcher, science communicator, and Great British Bake Off 2023 finalist—the interactive session will demonstrate how to translate abstract mathematical concepts into engaging classroom activities using pizza making.

The event, which runs from 9:30 to 16:00 GMT, provides a unique platform for Maths — No Problem! teachers and school leaders to build connections, share best practices and collaborate with peers across the sector.

While the day is focused on professional enrichment rather than formal course credits, all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
Registration is now open, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Teachers at Maths — No Problem! Accredited Schools are eligible to claim their first ticket free of charge.
