Join our Community Event on Wednesday 14 October

How do we bridge the gap between covering the curriculum and nurturing truly engaged classrooms?

This October, join our community of educators for a day dedicated to transforming mathematics education.

With leading experts and classroom practitioners, we’ll explore the curriculum for 2028, share proven inclusion strategies and rediscover the joy of practical learning through pizza making.

Parking Information

The Botanic Garden entrance is on Glebe Road (LE2 2LD). There are bicycle racks at the Garden entrance (up the driveway past the hedge ahead) and free car parking on Glebe Road.

The Attenborough Arboretum entrance is on Carisbrooke Road (LE2 3PF) and there is a small car-park. You can find more relevant visitor information on the university webpage.

Event FAQs

What payment methods do you offer?

At the moment, we only offer invoice payment.

What is your policy on cancellations and substitutions?

Cancellations are allowed with a full refund up to two weeks prior to the event. If you wish to cancel after that, you will be charged the full ticket price you paid.

Substitutions are allowed, but must be made in writing. Please email sales@mathsnoproblem.com to request a delegate name change.

What time should I arrive at the community event?

The event starts at 9:45, but we will be serving tea and coffee from 9:30. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the event begins to allow time for check-in.

Is the event suitable for newly qualified teachers?

Yes, this event is designed for all levels of experience — from newly qualified teachers to experienced educators. The workshop will provide practical strategies that can benefit teachers at every stage of their career.

Can I bring a colleague?

Absolutely! We encourage educators to attend together. If your colleague hasn’t registered yet, they can still sign up via our website until 13 October. We are also offering preferential pricing if you bring more than one colleague along.

Can I speak with the keynote speakers or workshop leaders?

Yes! Our keynote speakers and workshop leader will be available during the networking lunch and after their sessions to answer questions and engage in discussions.

Can I attend the community event virtually?

No, sorry. This is an in-person community event in Leicester.

Can I attend only part of the event?

This community event is designed to be a full-day experience, by staying for the entire program you will be able to get the most value. However, we are understanding if you need to arrive late or leave early. We simply ask that you please inform us ahead of time. Please email us at sales@mathsnoproblem.com.

What should I do if I feel unwell before the event?

If you are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you do not attend the event for the safety of other attendees. Please contact us for options regarding cancellation or transfer of your ticket to another delegate.

Will accessibility facilities be available at the venue?

Please contact us at sales@mathsnoproblem.com to discuss any specific individual requirements and we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.

What if I need special assistance during the event?

We want all attendees have a positive experience at this event. If you need any special assistance during the event, such as help navigating the venue, please contact a staff member on-site, or email us in advance at sales@mathsnoproblem.com.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

As part of the ticket registration process, you will be asked whether you have dietary restrictions and can add this information to your booking form.

Vegetarian and vegan options will be offered at the event lunch and clearly marked.

Will there be recordings of the event?

We won’t be recording any of the keynote speeches or workshops.

Will event materials be available after the event?

Event materials can be explored during our networking lunch. If you require any further support, contact sales@mathsnoproblem.com.

Will there be Wi-Fi available?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi will be available throughout the venue. Instructions for connecting will be provided upon arrival.

Is there a dress code for the event?

There is no formal dress code, but we recommend smart casual attire for a professional setting.

Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

Yes! Certificates of attendance will be emailed to participants following the event. These can be used for professional development records.

Do I need to prepare any materials before the event?

No, you do not need to prepare specific materials. However, feel free to bring any questions or examples from your own teaching experience that you’d like to explore during the workshop.
